KIWIS SKIING HOT AT SOUTHERN GLASS TOURNAMENT, FLORIDA - BEN'S RECORD SCORE RATIFIED!
Kiwis are skiing well in their build ups for the World Barefoot Games in Germany next month. In Florida, Ben Groen tricked a PB of 5,700 to set a New Zealand National record ( Now ratified), while Connor Findlay scored a PB of 1,960 which qualfiies him to ski in the junior boys at the World's in August. Another highlight from the same Southern Glass Tournament was Keith St Onge achieving a PB and pending world record trick score of 12,900.... and the competition continues to build as the current men's trick record holder, David Small of Great Britain has a ratified new record of 12,150 points. He has skied in two tournaments, and after ratification by the Records Review Committee, he has set new world records in each appearance. On May 8 in West Palm Beach Florida, David bumped the record up by 50 points to 11,300. A month later at Lake Silverado in Adna WA (site of the 2006 World Championships) he took advantage of the world class lake and scored a 12,150 point run. Both records were performed behind the Sanger DXII. Both these top skiers will be competing the World Championships in Germany next month. Watch for more records!!!
