MEGAN ROBERTS BREAKS JUNIOR GIRL TRICKS RECORD

On May 3, 2010, the World Barefoot Council Review Commitee ratified a new junior girls tricks record of 3500 points. On April 8,  at this year's Australian National Championships, Megan Roberts (Aus) performed an outstanding run that included all four surface turns and a FEET TO FEET toe turn! This comes just a few months after fellow Australian Asheigh Stebbings broke the 10 year old record.

Expect to hear this name again in the future as Megan only skied about half way through her second pass with a fall on the 360 surface turn.

The World Bare foot Council hope to have a video posted on their website in the near future.

Kyle Eade Benefit Auction

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to give you a "heads up" that a group of skiers have launched an auction to benefit Kyle Eade after his severe jump crash this spring.  As most of you know, "Kiwi" crashed in New Zealand in February and damaged the spinal cord in his neck.  Kiwi is working extremely hard to recover and is making positive progress.

If you go to www.KyleEade.com you can follow his progress as well as click on the "auction" button on the bottom left of the home page and help Kyle and his family. There are skis, wake boards, wetsuits, vests, helmets, ski school packages, pro skier days, a Disney Vacation, and even a 2011 Correct Craft 200 Open Bow!!!  Check it out and help the Eade family!

PS - Please  spread the word however - forward, twitter, Facebook or whatever this message onto your friends and family, we would really appreciate it!

2 NEW BRONZE LEVEL JUDGES

Judges A & LAt the 2010 Nationals both Lauren Oakes and Ally Findlay received their Bronze Level Judging award.  Both girls have worked hard in some trying conditions (it is not easy to judge some of our skiers) to achieve this and we are sure we will see a lot more of these two in the judging arena in the future.  They are the new blood of "officialdom" in our sport here in New Zealand.  Congratul;ations to you both.

BOP Regional's

Bay for Plenty had their first regional's in 14 years. Fantastic turn out with over 30 skiers competing in what was challenging water with most of Saturday cancelled. However, the sunshine never stopped and the water calmed down enough on Sunday letting the skiers back on the water for a short time. This saw Ben Groen and Georgia Groen taking out overall in the Open Division again. Congratulations to all who skied. Go to Results section for full results from BOP Regionals please.
